This series was built upon the idea that the story would come to me. I needed it to. Through my anxiety and discomfort these photos emerged. My difficult past and life experiences navigating and compromising. My instincts, restlessness and passion for photography driving me forward, through the process.
As I walked the afternoons away in the Melbourne city streets, I kept focused on my task. I stayed present and felt overwhelmed by the amount of people that there were to see, spaces to watch and moments to capture, or miss.
In an effort to minimise the risk and chance of confrontation, I took advantage of smaller scenes, and even smaller, more intimate moments that could easily go unnoticed, and so could I.
